Stephen Bayliss and Bella Comerford at the Big Woody

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that not only will we have Spencer Smith and James Parker, but that we can also announce that 5 times Ironman Florida winner Bella Comerford and her partner stephen Bayliss who was 4th at the recent Ironman Newzeland, will be at the Big Woody Weekend. Over the next few months they will be keeping us informed on how their season is progressing.

Camping

We have confirmed the use of the field next to the race venue for athletes wishing to camp for the weekend. You will be able to arrive from Thursday afternoon (14th). The field can be used up to the Sunday lunch time. This is free to athletes and supporters.

The ammended bike route is almost ready and i will post this on the website shortly. The New run course is also taking shape and should provide athletes with a suitable 3rd leg to this challenge.

James Parker to race at The Big Woody

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that not only will we have Spencer Smith at the Little Woody, we will also have James Parker in attendance during the weekend. James is an up and coming elite long course triathlete and he will be giving us his thoughts on training and preperation in the coming months. The race details can be found at The Big Woody .

Race Venue - National Diving & Activity Centre

We can confirm that the venue for this years race and future years will be the National diving & activity centre nr Chepstow. This venue will be the base for all the activities over the weekend including camping onsite. This facility is undergoing some exiting redevelopment and we are pleased that we are allowed to have the Big Woody there.
